Insurance Job Description

Our client is a Regional Property and Casualty Commercial Lines Insurance Company home based in New England. Due to expansion and profitable growth we are seeking a highly professional Property and Casualty Claims Property Specialist/Manager to be part of the Corporate Claims staff. This position can be located at their corporate office, or work out of one of the Regional offices that are located through out New England.  

Commercial Property Claims Specialist / Manager Responsibilities

  • Mentor, train, and provide guidance and direction to Teams of Property and Casualty Commercial Claim professionals.
  • Provide input and assistance to various claim offices, claim representatives, and counsel on the more complex property claims.
  • Responsible for conducting annual “line of business” and quality review audits in each regional office as well as attending “round tables” at branch offices monthly, or as needed.
  • Develop and present training and educational programs for claim staffs. This position requires a college degree or equivalent, ten years of commercial property claim experience, effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills. Travel is also required. 

Commercial Property Claims Specialist / Manager Requirements

  • 10 plus years of handling all lines of commercial property claims are required.
  • You will have strong litigation management experience, above average negotiation skills, reserving and evaluation experience, fraud awareness, training skills, cost/expense containment, and exceptional people skills.
  • Inland Marine claims experience would be helpful, but not required.
  • In addition, a strong understanding of coverage issues, as well as unfair claim practices acts.
