Insurance Job Description

Our client is a Regional Property and Casualty Commercial Lines Insurance Company home based in New England. Due to expansion and profitable growth we are seeking a highly professional Property and Casualty Claims Casualty Specialist to be part of the Corporate Claims staff. This position can be located at their corporate office, or work out of one of the Regional offices that are located through out New England. 

 

Commercial Casualty Claims Specialist / Manager Responsibilities

  • You will mentor, train, and provide guidance and direction to Teams of Property and Casualty Commercial Claim professionals. 

  • Provide input and assistance to various claim offices, claim representatives, and counsel on the more complex casualty claims. 

  • Conduct annual “line of business” and quality review audits in each regional office as well as attending “round tables” at branch offices monthly, or as needed.

  • Develop and present training and educational programs for claim staffs.

Commercial Casualty Claims Specialist / Manager Requirements

  • 7 plus years of handling all lines of commercial general liability and commercial automobile claims (Not Workers Compensation). 

  • This position requires a college degree or equivalent, seven years of commercial casualty claim experience, effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills. Travel is also required.

  • You will have strong litigation management experience, above average negotiation skills, reserving and evaluation experience, fraud awareness, training skills, cost/expense containment, and exceptional people skills. In addition, a strong understanding of coverage issues, as well as unfair claim practices acts.
