Insurance Job Description

Our client has grown from a small underwriting office to a multi-state managing general agency that represents almost 2,000 agents throughout the Southeast. Their staff is comprised of ethical, experienced professionals committed to providing customers access to alternative markets. They currently seek a senior underwriting manager to oversee their property & casualty divisions.

As Underwriting Manager

  • You'll be responsible for setting and achieving annual production goals in the company's core areas
  • You'll open doors for additional production through relationship management with new and existing retail agents
  • Conversely you'll also represent our client by negotiating with competitive markets and being active in industry associations
  • Your role calls for the training of staff on sound underwriting practices, setting production goals and mentoring on marketing management

Underwriting Manager Qualifications

  • 12-15 years of multi-line underwriting with several years of management experience
  • Multi-line P&C experience and knowledge of the E&S market and the wholesale brokerage business
  • Strong team building skills with the ability to manage multiple offices
