Insurance Job Description

Our client is a regional carrier with a long successful tradition. They consistently have been assigned an excellent rating by AM Best. Currently they offer an opportunity to join their claims department as a Claims Representative.

The duties of the Claims Representative position include:

  • Analyzing the policy to determine coverage
  • Investigating the loss to determine liability and damages
  • Establishing accurate reserves
  • Negotiating settlement or conclusion of commercial claims

Job Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 1-3 years experience adjusting commercial claims.
  • Claims coursework including AIC, SCLA Claims Law or CPCU strongly encouraged.
  • You should possess PC proficiency and the ability to learn and adapt to various software programs.
  • Strong decision making, judgment and problem solving abilities
  • Proven and effective customer service and communication skills
