Our client is a well-established, well-respected, financially stable insurance advisory organization offering both standard and custom products and services to the property and casualty industry. They have over 600 affiliated companies and offer their professionals national exposure to the insurance industry. They presently have an opportunity within commercial lines for an AVP, Commercial Lines Product Development. In this position you will be responsible for the development and implementation and maintenance of commercial lines insurance products. You will conduct research and analysis on competitor products, market needs and emerging issues and make recommendations for changes or additions to commercial lines products. Develop policy language, rules, and other supporting information for commercial lines products. Working closely with Compliance Staff, review regulatory issues and determine impact on  commercial lines products. Communicate information and explanatory material associated with product changes to affiliated companies, prospects, regulators and others. To be considered you will need to offer in-depth knowledge of standard commercial properties and commercial liabilities programs of insurance, including: coverage concepts, policy language, rating procedures and underwriting philosophies. Have advanced product development and technical contract writing experience as well as proven experience managing people. A Four Year Degree, eight (8) to ten (10) years of insurance experience with contract writing, strong project management skills and proven interpersonal skills.
