They presently have available an opportunity to join their claims staff in a Senior Casualty Claims Adjuster position in Denver, CO. In this role you will investigate bodily injury/liability claims via telephone or face-to-face. Determine proper policy coverages and apply, where necessary, best claims practices to investigate, evaluate, negotiate and equitably settle assigned bodily injury claims cases in accordance with company guidelines. In doing so you will adhere to high standards of professional conduct while providing delivery of superior claims service. Establish and authorize reserves and claims payments within the delegated authority. To be considered you will need to offer around four or more years related casualty claims handling experience. This should include a sound knowledge of personal lines auto liability/Bodily Injury. Undergraduate degree preferred. Ongoing, job-related continuing education preferred. Successful completion of required claims certification schools/classes. General knowledge of insurance theory and practices, insurance contracts and their application, bodily injury and liability claims practices. Familiarity with claims systems and medical terminology.
