FL Tampa Senior Loss Control Safety and Health Consultant
 

Our client is a National Workers Compensation Insurance Group. Financially strong, highly rated, and very employee oriented. Due to profitable growth we are assisting them in seeking a Sr. Loss Control Safety and Health Consultant. This position will work out of their Tampa, Florida Regional office. Basic requirements include:

  • College degree in safety and health or related technical curriculum preferred; or equivalent job/field experience.
  • 3-5 years prior Insurance Carrier Safety & Health (Loss Control) experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Achieves results in reducing incident frequency and implementing early return to work programs.
  • Must be capable of showing net cost/financial incentive programs, cost allocation systems, etc.
  • Advanced skills in exposure recognition and mitigation as well as safety program management.
  • Superior time management skills.
  • Valid Drivers License in good standing.

Position Description:

  • Conducts risk evaluations to determine loss potential, management interest, support and degree of commitment on less complex accounts. Communicates activities with other Safety & Health staff, other departments including Underwriting, and Producers.
  • Service accounts will include a cross section of accounts that are more difficult and technically demanding to service, and may include accounts with multiple locations.
  • Conducts risk evaluations to determine loss potential, management interest, support and degree of commitment on less complex accounts.
  • Develops a systematic plan of action to reduce risk potential.
  • Secures management’s commitment to a program designed to correct problems. Assists in program implementation.
  • Evaluates account progress, suggesting program modifications as necessary.
  • Communicates and coordinates activities with other Safety & Health staff, other departments and producers.
  • Maintains a high level of communication with Underwriting pertinent to progress on the service of accounts.
  • A demonstrated commitment to continuing education and state of the art methods such as PC applications, videotape use, IH monitoring, ergonomic evaluation, etc.
  • Capable of conducting seminars, as well as workshop training programs for groups or individual insured's.
  • In addition to the fundamentals of industrial hygiene, is capable of performing more sophisticated sampling, including dosimetry and the use of air pumps.
