They presently offer an opportunity to join their underwriting team in their Los Angeles area operation (not in Los Angeles). As a Senior Life Underwriter you will be responsible to apply sound underwriting judgment in assessing individual life insurance risks. This will involve analyzing data to determine appropriate risk classification after complete analysis and consideration of medical, non medical, financial and business/competitive factors. To be considered, you will need to offer around six or more years of individual life insurance underwriting experience. This should include a high approval level with complex cases with proven ability to independently determine appropriate risk selection classification, solid experience dealing with and negotiating with reinsurers, ability to convey complex decisions, proven analytical skills and a solid knowledge of life insurance products and compliance.
