Our client provides global actuarial and management consulting to insurance and financial services companies and advises a wide range of companies on risk financing and self-insurance. They help customers with a broad range of business issues, including mergers & acquisitions; financial and regulatory reporting; risk, capital and value management; products, markets and distribution; and financial modeling solutions. They presently seek a Professional Liability Actuarial Consult for their Atlanta, GA operation. In this role you will impact a broad range of financial strategies for leading insurance companies and corporate entities, with a special emphasis on medical malpractice and workers compensation. You will work on a variety of projects including some or all of the following: evaluate the liability and funding needs of self-insurance programs; perform studies of rate and reserve levels for existing or new companies or programs; assist clients in evaluating the feasibility of forming captive or traditional insurance companies; assess reinsurance or excess insurance programs for companies or self-insurance programs; participate in merger/acquisition analyses; assist clients in all manner of financial evaluations (investments, expense issues, risk based capital, AM Best and other ratings, surplus adequacy, etc.) To be considered you will need to offer successful completion FCAS designation. An ACAS moving towards FCAS (1-2 exams remaining) would also be considered. Five (5) + years work experience in a property/casualty insurance company or consulting firm. Medical malpractice or workers compensation experience. Expertise in at least one core service area (estimating reserves for claims liabilities; analyzing pricing and profitability of P/C products). · Solid understanding of how the P/C insurance industry operates (including product knowledge, financial reporting, regulatory requirements, etc.). Proven experience building and maintaining client relationships (internal or external). Excellent oral and written communication skills.
