IL Chicago Bi-Lingual Commercial Lines Field Underwriter
 

Our client is a well-run insurance and financial services organization with an "A' Excellent rating by AM Best. They continue to experience growth, which has created the need to add a Commercial Lines Field Underwriter in Chicago. In this newly created role, you will provide commercial field underwriting expertise and limited loss control services including but not limited to, risk selection, proper commercial classification, coverage evaluation, product pricing and hazard identification, with an emphasis on commercial lines of business. To be considered you will need to offer:

  • Must have a minimum of 3-4 years of prior field and/or Commercial Underwriting or Commercial Claims handling experience;
  • Must be bi-lingual: English/Spanish
  • Must have the ability to communicate in an effective and professional manner with Agency personnel, Underwriting Personnel, Management company clients in both group and one-on-one settings;
  • Must have the ability to make sound underwriting decisions under pressure;
  • Knowledge of Chicagoland area and markets a plus;
  • Must be willing to relocate to Chicagoland area;
  • Ability to analyze facts and exercise good judgment in order to obtain and retain profitable commercial business.
