Our client is one of the largest E&S carriers in the country. With offices throughout the east coast and western United States, they offer commercial excess and specialty business through a network of wholesale general agents. Their transportation division specializes in providing package coverage to contract haulers and small commercial fleets. They seek an underwriter to handle new and renewal production with strong agency management skills. Must have a working knowledge of underwriting principles and procedures in determining rates, applicable coverage and profitability with respect to loss ratio. An individual interested in learning the transportation industry with a multi-line, commercial background or a personal auto background is encouraged to apply. Prior E&S market experience is helpful but not required. To be considered you must offer a bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in underwriting.
