Our client is a leader in the insurance industry and one of the largest insurance carriers in the world. They offer a 'Superior' rating by A.M. Best. Due to continued growth they offer an opportunity to join their underwriting management team in Sacramento, CA area. As an Associate Underwriting Director you will direct the management of multi-product personal lines underwriting teams. You will be responsible for the quality and quantity of risks underwritten. Responsible for quality underwriting processes, portfolio management and account based underwriting for multiple underwriting teams. Direct and resolve performance issues including market conduct exams and audits. Coordinate activity to provide superior customer service. Facilitate effective working relationship with agencies, multi-channel distribution, all service center operations, regional operations including sales, claims and product. Responsible for planning, budgeting and reporting. To be considered you will need to offer an undergraduate degree in business management or related field; and technical insurance designation, such as CPCU, preferred. Minimum seven years experience in personal lines underwriting. Minimum of two years previous management experience required. You must demonstrate detailed knowledge of personal lines insurance products, state regulations, management techniques, underwriting policies and procedures, accounting/budgeting, customer service and best practices.
