In this position you will be responsible for achieving specific annual product line profit and growth plans. Responsible for identifying, developing and supporting the implementation of Best Practices underwriting policies, guidelines, practices and system strategies which lead to the attainment of both line of business and geographic growth and profitability. Accountable for core line of business underwriting competency within the organization. Provide technical expertise, guidance and training to support the Regional teams in managing their individual risk selection, pricing, procedures and work flows and book of business. Analyze financial results and book of business profiles and initiates analysis and cross functional problem solving in support of Regional/Divisional profit and growth objectives. Lead underwriting operational reviews to evaluate the quality of risk selection, pricing and service to agency customers. To be considered you need to offer a BA/BS or equivalent. Work toward or attainment of your CPCU and, AU/API designation strongly preferred. This position requires around 15 or more years of progressive underwriting experience including significant Regional Team Leader, Supervisory or Management experience. You must possess a thorough understanding of insurance contracts. Offer demonstrated ability to select, price and grow a profitable book of business.
