They presently offer an opportunity to join their Corporate Actuarial department. As the Associate Actuary assigned this role, you will head up our client's company-wide ALFA (Asset Liability Financial Analysis) modeling efforts. This position will work closely with the various business units in helping with their modeling activities and will be their main company contact with their consulting company vendor on ALFA related issues. Will develop a basic understanding of all of the business unit models and will provide guidance to the various business units on new ALFA development activities and advanced modeling techniques. This position will also be the main actuarial contact for their grid-computing efforts. This position will be involved with their corporate wide modeling efforts such as regulatory cash flow testing, company-wide risk management, economic capital modeling, and financial projections for the Board of Directors. This position will have management responsibility of one actuarial student. To be considered, you will need to offer attainment of your Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), and a member in good standing of the American Academy of Actuaries (AAA). Around 6-8 or more years of related actuarial experience preferred. Strong technical and modeling skills (particularly in MG-ALFA), as well as project management, leadership, and communication skills a must.
