They presently offer opportunities in Atlanta, GA and Chicago, IL for Senior Life Underwriters. You will be responsible for medically, non-medically and financially evaluating facultative reinsurance applications for life insurance and determine risk assessments. You will communicate decisions clearly and effectively to their clients. This involves new business, rate reductions and reinstatements. You will also participate in providing recommendations for client underwriting standards. To be considered for this position you will need to offer strong medical, non-medical and financial risk assessment abilities and around 5 or more years life underwriting experience including direct side experience. Your knowledge should include a solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology. Impaired risk experience. Strong analytical skills such as separating medical objective and subjective impairment data into favorable, unfavorable and/or unacceptable categories. Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with internal associates, clients, competitors and retrocessionnaires.
