They currently offer an opportunity to join their accounting team as Director of Corporate Planning. For this role they seek a results-oriented professional to manage the preparation of multi-year statutory and GAAP projections and capital planning models. You will manage the preparation of operating and capital budgets; serve as a liaison between the Accounting dept and other areas involved in the planning/forecasting process; and advise senior management in evaluating proposed capital uses by designing and preparing models including scenario and/or historical comparisons, statistical data, and analysis by line of business and/or business segment. To be considered, you will need to offer a College degree in Finance, Accounting or Actuarial Science plus at least eight years experience in financial reporting. Your CPA is required along with thorough knowledge of financial statements; in-depth knowledge of GAAP and life insurance statutory accounting and reporting requirements; strong analytical and project management skills; and excellent interpersonal and communication skills needed.
