For the past 20 years our client has been a leader in offering comprehensive insurance coverage for physicians. Their products address a doctor's additional business and personal exposures. They currently offer an opportunity to join their company as an underwriting supervisor. In this role you'll investigate and determine the insurability of new and renewal applicants. You'll work to increase market share by developing new agency ties and by monitoring the profitability of current relationships in the southeastern U.S. Your focus will be small to middle market commercial package policies that target the healthcare industry. You'll oversee the productivity and training of a small group of underwriters and technical support staff. The successful candidate will have 8-10 years of multi-line commercial underwriting experience with time spent in a supervisory capacity. Familiarity needed with some or multiple commercial coverages like BOP, D&O, EPL, property, work comp and general liability. Salary is competitive and based on experience.
