Founded and still currently owned by doctors, they are the largest regional carrier of medical malpractice coverage and rated "excellent" by A.M. Best. They strive to create products and offer services that respond to the changing liability exposures physicians face. They currently offer an opportunity to join their company as a senior medical professional liability underwriter. In this role you'll investigate and determine the insurability of new and renewal applicants. You'll work to increase market share by developing new agency ties and by monitoring the profitability of current relationships. The successful candidate will have 5+ years of commercial underwriting experience with a strong background in medical malpractice. Must be team oriented and demonstrate the history of managing a large, profitable volume of business. Salary is competitive and based on experience.
