In this role you will direct the accounting research and policy function to ensure the company complies with all new requirements that documentation fully supports any position taken. Participate in the advocacy of the company's position with regard to developing accounting guidance. The scope includes policy setting related to both generally accepted accounting principles and statutory insurance principles. To be considered, you will need to offer a College degree in accounting. Twelve or more years of relevant experience. Public accounting experience preferred. CPA required. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills required with ability to effectively communicate with all internal and external customers. Strong management and organizational skills including the ability to select, train, coach, develop, and motivate team members required. Must be a visionary and demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills. Consistently demonstrate the ability to identify and resolve complex accounting issues. Demonstrate the ability to embrace and understand the change process, and effectively guide others through change. Industry experience a plus. PC and/or system skills required.
