Our client is one of the world's largest life insurance companies. They presently offer opportunities to join their life underwriting operation in Tampa, FL. As a Life Underwriter for our client you will be responsible to apply sound underwriting judgment in assessing individual life insurance risks. This will involve analyzing data to determine appropriate risk classification after complete analysis and consideration of medical, non medical, financial and business/competitive factors. To be considered you will need to offer around three or more years applicable experience in an individual life underwriting environment. BA degree or equivalent experience. Biology/Life Sciences majors preferred. NASD Series 6 and 26 certifications a plus. Knowledge of insurance principles including mortality, insurable interest and actuarial theory desired. Along with a solid understanding of medical terminology, human biology, and anatomy. Knowledge of accounting as it applies to sound financial underwriting and complete risk assessment.
