CO Denver Sales Manager
 

Our client is a leader within the property casualty insurance industry. They offer a 'Superior' rating by A.M. Best. They presently have available an opportunity to join their sales team working out of your residence in Denver, CO. As a Sales Manager you will plan, coordinate, analyze and document market-based information relative to a designated territory served by independent agents. Work with market team in region to generate quality blocks of business that meet acceptable return on investment. Duties include:

  • Develop and monitor business plans with independent agents.
  • Analyze rate, product and underwriting changes.
  • Develop "rollover" opportunities and monitor and report on their progress.
  • Responsible for attainment of production, loss ratio, agency appointments, commissions, agency growth goals within assigned territory.
  • Plan, coordinate, analyze, and documents market based information relative to new and existing marketing strategies at the territory level.
  • Perform analysis of the industry, consumer, and competitor information and trends; utilizes internal and external sources in order to provide timely, insightful and actionable information for marketing management.
  • Evaluate competitor products with our own; determines competitive advantages and provides information to assist with customers.

To be considered, you will need to offer around a minimum five years related experience preferably in production underwriting, marketing or sales for an insurance company or independent agent. Strong technical underwriting abilities highly desirable. In addition: Proven expertise in marketing and sales techniques. Solid knowledge of commercial lines products. High level of understanding of the distribution channel in territory including a solid following of independent agents. Proven competencies in: business planning, demographics, underwriting selection, pricing, computer software, book management. Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information and external factors that may influence company, customers, independent agency system, and tactical planning process.
