Our client is a very successful, highly rated, financially strong National Property & Casualty Insurance Company. Due to profitable growth they have established a new Commercial Lines Underwriting Management position, to help position themselves for the future. In this position you will be responsible for taking the lead in matters relating to the commercial automated underwriting system, and identifying, supporting and implementing best underwriting practices. You will also be responsible for achieving specific annual product line profit and growth plans. This position will provide technical expertise, guidance and training to Regional offices in risk selection, pricing and commercial growth objectives. This critical position will also lead underwriting operational review teams to evaluate the quality of risk selection and pricing. Initial responsibilities will be to take the lead in the development of an automated commercial lines underwriting system. You will set the underwriting vision for the system, which will include significant interface with the system technology division throughout the project. To be considered, you need to offer around ten (10) or more years of commercial lines underwriting experience with a solid progression from underwriter to team leader, manager or supervisor. You will also need to offer demonstrated skills in project management, modeling, and a well versed understanding of automated underwriting system. This is a high visibility position reported to Sr. Management. Salary up to $100K plus relocation assistance.
