Our client is a leading health and life insurer. They have been committed to serving employer based healthcare for almost a century. They presently offer an opportunity to join their compliance team in a newly created role of AVP, Compliance. In this position you will be responsible for the development and management of Compliance personnel to support department standards and ensure each division follows applicable state and federal insurance product laws/regulations. You will serve as a resource for Compliance regarding interpretation of laws, filing issues and determining the course of action required meeting the division's product development needs. Represent compliance department at divisional meetings and instruct the Divisions on compliance matters. Represent our client at industry meetings and with the State Department of Insurance as needed to secure approval of products. Oversee and guide drafting of new products. To be considered, you will need to offer a thorough understanding of Compliance processes and workflow to support department timelines for completion of work. Proven leadership experience in managing a team regarding individual capabilities and proposed development action needed to build additional competencies. Experience with developing and monitoring budget and staffing models. This will require around five or more years prior compliance management experience. At least five to seven years compliance experience with a major medical insurer preferred. Professional designations such as: FLMI, AIRC, HIA and AHLC are desired by client.
