CA San Francisco Audit & Re-Engineering Manager
 

Our client is one of the fastest growing and most successful market leaders in the financial services industry. Through their exclusive carrier relationships they develop, market, and administer innovative annuity products and long-term care insurance that they distribute through a nationwide network of independent financial professionals. They are currently seeking an Audit and Re-Engineering Manager for their Corporate Audit Services and Risk Management division. This person will be responsible for the management and execution of risk management and internal audit projects in accordance with the annual audit plan and risk assessment. Projects include the definition of work scope, internal control evaluation, timely communication of issues/opportunities, coordination of activities (i.e. work timing, auditee assistance, etc.), issue resolution and report activities for assigned audit, review or consulting engagement. Responsible for testing activities and the performance of detailed control evaluation and risk assessment work. Responsible for communication of business issues to auditees and working with them to develop appropriate action plans to address the issues. Assumes accountability for overall management of audit/projects and has responsibility for project supervision and coaching for assigned project staff.

Primary job duties include operational (process improvement), financial, and compliance auditing; broker/dealer auditing, including OSJ compliance audits and overall compliance with NASD and SEC regulations; training and support related to risk and controls (Control Self Assessment and COSO); and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting and 5-7 years of experience in Accounting/Finance (3+ years in Public Accounting), Consulting, and Project Management. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and other designations such as CIA and CMA a plus. Significant project management, process mapping, and workflow analysis experience necessary.
