In this position, Physical Damage Adjuster, you will review itemized listing of damaged equipment with insured; negotiate loss settlement based on coverage, knowledge of repair costs, and other relevant factors. Continue negotiation until claim is settled equitably. Coordinate losses w/subrogation attorneys. Arrange for final settlement. Complete required forms and other information necessary to create claim file for each case. File copies of all reports related to accident, copies of any repair estimates and correspondence related to the case. Complete regular reports on progress and status of each case until settled. Document relevant information used to make settlement estimate such as depreciation, previous damages and current values of equipment. Identify the dollar amount to be reserved in anticipation of claims settlement. Make reserve value corrections as new information is gained. To be considered you need to offer a Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of two years applicable experience in a area related to the motor carrier insurance industry.
