They are among the top 100 property and casualty insurers in the U.S. They currently offer an opportunity to join their underwriting team in Springfield, IL. As a Commercial Lines Underwriter for this client company, you will be responsible to grow and develop quality books of middle market commercial business, producing a profitable loss ratio, and maintaining strong agency relations. This will include production, underwriting, and pricing as well as growth and profitability of the territory. To be considered, you will need to offer around five (5) years of successful commercial lines underwriting experience, including demonstrated technical skills in underwriting commercial business, knowledge of pricing and rate review methodology including rate level methods and rate-making processes. Completion of or work towards your CPCU, CIC, or other industry designation is a plus. Salary will depend on experience. Excellent Benefits.
