Our client is rated A+ by A.M. Best. They are a leader in their niche. They currently offer an opportunity to join their underwriting department in a leadership role. As Underwriting Manager you will provide direction and leadership to the underwriting department: establish work methods and department procedures for the region and establish budgets, expenses and department operating policy, forecast and plan for all department resources, including staffing; set performance standards and objectives. Establish training and staff development; customer service and relationship building. Additional responsibilities will include marketing activities such as: agency licensing appointments, conventions, agency training, educational seminars, agency visits and advertising in partnership with Corporate Marketing. To be considered you will need to offer around eight years or more of technical underwriting experience with at least two or more years of proven leadership abilities within an underwriting department.
