Our client is a leading risk and insurance firm in a rapid stage of growth. They are seeking a qualified individual to lead the charge in the capacity of a Group Benefits Consultant in Dubuque, IA. This is an opportunity to be a part of the foundation for the next generation of a very successful regional insurance brokerage firm in one of its fastest growing divisions. You will be responsible for developing employee benefit plan recommendations for prospects and clients by analyzing client data to understand utilization patterns, assessing potential funding strategies and determining the right fit for the client, conducting assessments of various PPO networks and developing recommendations based on level of access and discounts, and finally understanding unique advantages of various products in the marketplace and determining which products meet the unique needs of the client. Will also provide advice to client benefit managers on issues ranging from plan interpretation, compliance with regulation (i.e. HIPPA, COBRA) and other HR-related issues. Identify appropriate resources and tools to work with clients to access them and resolve pertinent issues. Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of group benefits experience. Technical expertise is a must and an underwriting/actuarial background would be a plus.
