Our client has grown from a small local company to a diverse corporation known for its innovative insurance products and superior customer service. They are strongly rooted in the Southeast, with the specialized experience and geographic focus of a major regional carrier. At the same time, they offer their policyholders and agents the broad-based expertise and technological resources of a national company. They presently offer the opportunity to join their organization as an Underwriter in a newly formed branch office in the New Orleans area. In this role you will be responsible to grow and develop quality book business, including Homeowners, Dwelling Fire, Commercial Package, and Business Owners, producing a profitable loss ratio, and maintaining strong agency relations. This will include production, underwriting, and pricing as well as growth and profitability of the territory. To be considered you will need to offer around three or more years of applicable underwriting experience with an emphasis on personal lines.
