Our client is home based in beautiful Florida. Due to growth we are seeking a highly professional Personal Lines Underwriting Manager. This includes both automobile and homeowners. Responsibilities will include, management of underwriting and customer service staff of 17-25 personal lines professionals. Examines applications, inspection reports, and insurance maps, credit reports, and other information to determine risk acceptability and appropriate rate. Communicates with all levels of the organization, including external customers. Candidates will have 5+ years related underwriting experience with proven superior underwriting results. Florida experience, insurance designations, and college degree preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Previous supervisory/management/team leader experience of personal lines underwriting is a must. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High level of accuracy and organizational skills.
