Due to their continued growth, they recently created a position for a Product Director. As a member of their Staff Underwriting department you will serve as a liaison working closely with their regional offices to understand the key issues these operations face, providing input in their decision making. You will provide insight on various issues, ranging from portfolio management to specific risk or appetite issues and will gain a broad background in regional operations and a great deal of visibility. This position will work closely with various levels of the organization, including channel Presidents and Regional Vice Presidents as well as various state and regional Directors and Officers throughout the company. Specific responsibilities will include: Assist in the development of strategy and direction for the assigned product(s). Participate in key initiatives to address the product strategy and profitability objectives. Reinforce understanding, communication and execution of product/ underwriting strategy. Provide technical assistance and support to state/regional underwriting and leadership. Responsible for various support functions such as product functional audits, training, vendor selection and management, employee career enhancement, competitive monitoring, systems, and liaison to other business units (systems, services, claims, pricing, distribution, marketing, etc.) To be considered you will need to offer Bachelor's degree with professional designation such as CPCU highly desirable. Requires proven knowledge of property/casualty products, insurance company operations, field and staff functions, industry trends, and project management. Around ten or more years commercial property casualty lines underwriting, including at least five years of management experience. Exposure to both field and staff office operations preferred.
