Our client has been a stable force for over 75 years in the insurance and financial services industry and ranks among the nation's top 100 multi-line insurance groups. They offer a 'Superior' rating by A.M. Best. They presently have available an opportunity to join their organization as a Claims - Medical Specialist. In this role you will provide medical consultation to claims managers with emphasis on medical training, litigation support, and injury claim file intervention. This will include participating in and attending suit file conferences, alternative dispute resolution sessions and medical depositions. Preparing claims staff and defense counsel for discovery processes, ADR, and suit file/trial strategy as related to case- specific medical issues. Present medical training to claims staff (including claims managers, claims representatives, legal, and SIU). Provide medical bill audit expertise and support medical cost containment programs. Participate in open and closed file reviews. Work with Claims and SIU to identify, investigate, and prosecute medical fraud. To be considered, you will need to offer five years in nursing or allied medical field. Experience in property and casualty claims preferred. Prior ADR and litigation experience desirable. Undergraduate studies in nursing or allied medical profession. Degree and Registered Nurse licensure preferred.
