Our client is a regional insurance company committed to providing specialized property/casualty insurance products. Working through a network of independent agencies, they cater to small and middle market clients in the New England and Middle Atlantic regions. They currently offer an opportunity in their underwriting department as a production underwriter. The primary goal of this position is to grow a profitable book of P&C business in the Massachusetts and Rhode Island territories. That includes marketing products to develop new agency appointments and monitoring hit ratios and loss patterns with current accounts. Perform field inspections, gather market intelligence and participate in agency reviews. The successful candidate will have strong ties to the New England agency market. You must have experience writing multi-line P&C coverage in a small to middle-market environment. Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of underwriting experience is required. Professional designations are preferred.
