They currently offer an opportunity to join their underwriting department in the Sioux City, Iowa area. In this Commercial Underwriter position you will be responsible for writing a profitable, quality book of business dealing with their truck policies and coverages. This includes selecting, pricing and monitoring risks while maintaining quality business relationships. You will review applications on new and renewal business, coordinate and discuss with safety for review of risks and actuarial department for experience/rates. To be considered you will need to offer around two (2) to eight (8) years of successful commercial lines underwriting experience. Experience with truck related risks is ideal, as well as work towards the CPCU designation. Relocation assistance is available. Salary will depend upon experience.
