Our client provides insurance protection for auto, home, and businesses. They service the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana and Missouri with a reputation and financial stability obtained through over 100 years of business. They currently offer an opportunity to join their organization as the Reinsurance Claims Manager. In this role you will be responsible for the direction of and review of all Client claims which may affect our client, give advice on claims handling to Clients, assist in training of Client claims adjusters and inspectors (when requested), and give advice or opinions on claims and coverages (as requested). You will supervise the preparation of claims reports as needed by the Accounting Department and the Vice President of Reinsurance. Analyze Claims workflow, records, documents and procedures to determine how they may be more efficient and cost effective for the Division and Client companies. In the event of a catastrophe, would be on site to coordinate and assist in the handling of the catastrophe event. Actively pursue all salvage and subrogation activities for the Division. Perform audits on all Annual Aggregate Excess of Loss recoveries. Participate in the claims section of Reinsurance Audits. Participate in claims education activities for Client companies. To be considered you will need to offer ten or more years claims investigation/adjusting experience. Underwriting experience would be a plus. Position requires good communications, organizational and managerial skills. Good decision making and judgment ability. Must possess a good working knowledge of claims workflow and information processing systems. Salary will depend upon experience.
