Our client ranks among the nation's top 100 multi-line insurance groups. Due to continued growth they presently offer several opportunities to join their organization in financial related roles. Positions include (Sr) Financial Business Analysts or Specialists as well as Regional Financial Business Specialists. As a Regional Financial Business Specialist, you will serve as a mini-CFO for your assigned region. This will include providing regional support for Business Unit: Monitor monthly activity to provide early-bird growth, loss, & TCR estimates. Work with controllership if regional accruals or adjustments become necessary. Perform monthly analysis of all actual regional results - provide insights & forecasts to Regional Leadership. Forecast Direct Written Premium monthly by product & state. Analyze regional expense & FTE variances & incorporate into forecasts. Monitor, plan & forecast inter-regional allocations (e.g., for claims, etc.). Analyze regional rate activity, losses, ALAE, IBNR, non-departmental expenses, departmental expense allocations (& related drivers), GAAP adjustments, investment income & REC for both actual results & forecasts - provide feedback and insights to Regional Leadership. Provide insight & advice to Regional Leadership to aid in fostering customer base growth & meeting profit objectives. Analyze regional productivity & suggest improvement opportunities. Support Region in all financial performance management & planning/forecasting efforts (including strategic planning) and in preparing for presentations to BU President. As a Financial Business Analyst you may be assigned specific projects or serve as a financial floater. As a Floater you will serve as a true floater resource. You will serve as the financial representative on project teams. As a Financial Project person you will actually serve as the lead on specific projects. This will include providing insights & forecasts including coordinating monthly accruals with controllership. Support annual contingent commission payment cycle (primarily responsible for exception analyses & documentation). Perform research & analysis on specific contingent commission situations/cases. Review/provide insight & analysis on competitor contingent commission plans. Provide analytical support, insight & recommendations as to potential contingent commission contract changes. Support Sales Management in all financial performance management, planning & forecasting processes including: · Departmental expense & FTE budgeting · Expense & FTE variance analysis & forecasting · Regional sub-goal planning/forecasting coordination & consolidation · Assistance in preparation for presentations to BU President · Participate on and/or advise IC Sales Organization-specific project teams & perform ad-hoc analyses in support of IC's growth & profit objectives. All positions require a strong finance/accounting background. This experience within a property/casualty insurance environment ideal. CPA desirable. You must offer proven ability to be proactive, adaptable, and skilled at multi-tasking. In addition you must offer exceptional interpersonal skills.
