Our Property and Casualty Insurance client is an A rated insurance company. Employee friendly, highly rated, offers a work/life balance, as well as advancement opportunities. Due to profitable growth, we are seeking an experienced, highly professional, Sr. Field Property Adjuster, to handle a territory in the Montgomery, Alabama area. Candidates will investigate, evaluate, and resolve Property Claims, in person, within the company's contractual and legal obligations while ensuring timely service and appropriate payments to claimants or policyholders. 1. Meet with insured's, claimants, and agents to facilitate the claim process and resolve claims in a timely manner by initiating and maintaining positive and productive communications with all customers. 2. Promptly investigate assigned claims to determine coverage and/or liability while identifying and preserving salvage and subrogation opportunities. 3. Evaluate and settle claims within the scope of the company's contractual and legal obligations to ensure that settlements are fair and equitable to the insured, claimant, and the company. 4. Document all claim files accurately and thoroughly to substantiate the disposition of the claim and minimize the possibility of erroneous payments. 5. Utilize all appropriate loss and expense savings programs and direct the activities of outside vendors to ensure that only necessary and cost effective work is accomplished. 6. Establish and maintain appropriate case reserves which reflect the ultimate realistic value of the claim at the earliest opportunity. 7. Utilize automation to accurately set up, estimate, process and document loss information. 8. Coordinate relevant claim information with Loss Control, Underwriting, Marketing, etc., to maximize the company's effectiveness in avoiding future losses and to better manage current business. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Minimum of 5 years property-liability experience with at least 3 years specializing in Property Claims. 2. Ability to take responsibility and work independently with a minimum of supervision. 3. Good telephone, letter writing, communication and people skills are required.
