Our Property and Casualty insurance client is a very successful, employee friendly, A rated commercial regional carrier, who offers a tremendous amount of advancement opportunity and succession planning. We have been asked to assist them in recruiting for a Sr. Commercial Lines Underwriting Specialist. This is a Corporate, highly technical position, that will report to the VP of Underwriting. It will have responsibility to provide authority, and guidance and direction, to 6 Regional offices through out New England and upper state New York. It will be responsible to assist in developing a professional staff in a changing business climate. Assist underwriters in the handling of high hazard and more complex accounts. You will also confirm that pricing guidelines and standards for timeliness are being met. CPCU and or other insurance designations will be helpful. You will have at least 9 years commercial lines underwriting experience. Casualty and Property underwriting experience is a must, and Workers Compensation underwriting experience would be helpful. Good people skills, training and mentoring are a must. Excellent compensation package is available including relocation assistance.
