They currently offer an opportunity to join their claims department in a Senior Liability Claims Adjuster position in their regional operation in Western, IA. This position will work both inside and outside the office. In this role you will confirm insured's coverage's. Investigate and document facts surrounding accidents involving bodily injury and property damage. Determine probable liability status of insured and set preliminary settlement reserves. Establish, review and maintain claims files and assure progress toward settlement. Negotiate loss settlements, update and close files. Our client needs an individual who has experience handling personal injury claims with a substantial reserve potential. The average reserve you would be handling would be $25,000 - $500,000 - a total aggregate reserve of $8-12 million. You need to have experience working on mediations, settling cases and working with high exposure litigated files. Experience having done some field investigations is desired so that you understand the process and what should happen on that side. They also offer a second opportunity as a less experienced liability adjuster. This person should still have some of the field investigation experience, setting of reserves, mediation and settling of claims experience. To be considered for the more senior position you must offer around five or more years of commercial liability claims handling experience. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience required. Insurance industry coursework such as studies toward the IIA/CPCU preferred. Excellent salary and relocation available.
