Our client is a large workers compensation carrier that is rapidly expanding nationwide. They cater to small and middle market companies and pride themselves on product differentiation, disciplined underwriting and high customer retention. They currently offer an opportunity as a senior work comp underwriter. In this role you will be responsible to grow and develop a quality book of business, focusing on producing a profitable loss ratio and maintaining strong agency relations. This will include production, underwriting, and pricing as well as growth and profitability of the territory. You must have extensive underwriting experience and a working knowledge of work comp legislation, preferably in California and New York. No less than 8-10 years of overall underwriting experience is required. An individual that has underwritten work comp in the past but is currently working with a different line is still encouraged to apply. Salary is aggressive and commensurate with experience.
