Highly respected, very employee-oriented property and casualty insurance company is seeking a professional workers compensation underwriting manager to join their growing regional office underwriting management team. They are a very successful insurance company that specializes in mono-line workers compensation business. While multi-state workers compensation underwriting experience is helpful, this position will be responsible for new and existing business in the state of Florida. Direct reports will include a group of professional underwriters, along with and underwriting support staff. Candidates must possess 5+ years of supervisory, team leader or management experience over a workers compensation underwriting team. Candidates must also have had a solid technical background in workers compensation underwriting issues, legislation and regulations. The professional underwriting manager we are looking for will have exceptional leadership and mentoring, organization and communication skills. Strong marketing and agency development skills are also necessary. Excellent growth opportunities exist. Relocation assistance is available. Salary will range from $85,000 to $100,000.
