Our client is an A plus rated national property and casualty insurance company. Due to profitable growth we are seeking a Commercial Property Claim Team Leader. This position can be based in our regional office in San Diego, California, or working remotely from Southern California, preferably in the Orange County area. Your responsibilities will include supervising an outside claim property staff in Southern California, and an additional staff in Northern California. These responsibilities include commercial property claims only. You will have a minimum of 6 years as a property claim representative, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity over seeing claim representatives who handle property claims both inside and outside of the office. You will have experience in litigation management and fraud awareness. You will be able electronically to manage claim workloads and assignments. Travel outside the office with your staff is also required. Candidates will be highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and create a professional working environment. Your experience will include proper reserving practices, file audits, reinspections, quality control reviews, and providing settlement authority. In addition, candidates will be providing guidance and direction on coverage issues, outlining proper investigation steps, conduct performance appraisals, and keep current on legislation issues, and unfair claim practice statutes. You may also be part of a property catastrophe claim team if needed. Excellent compensation package, including profit sharing. Local candidates only.
