Our client provides insurance protection for auto, home, and businesses. They service the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana and Missouri with a reputation and financial stability obtained through over 100 years of business. They currently offer an opportunity to join their organization in northern Illinois in a newly created position. As the Commercial Lines Product Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the analysis, development and maintenance of their commercial lines insurance products. This person will play a major role in enhancing their product portfolio and influencing their profitability and growth. This will include the development, analysis and implementation of enhancements to existing insurance products and spearheading the development and introduction of new products to meet their profitability and growth goals. As Product Manager, you will communicate extensively with members of the underwriting, marketing, claims and insurance technology departments to solicit product enhancement ideas and successfully implement product changes. Review and analyze state laws and regulations which impact their business, and implement changes to programs and operations to ensure statutory compliance. Design and maintain applications, forms, agent’s manuals and other related materials. Develop and submit regulatory filings with the applicable state insurance departments. To be considered, you must offer around 5 or more years of product development or underwriting experience in the commercial lines property/casualty insurance industry. Technical knowledge of insurance products (rates, rules and forms) is required. Salary will depend upon experience.
