Our client has been a stable force for over 75 years in the insurance and financial services industry and ranks among the nation's top 100 multi-line insurance groups. They offer a 'Superior' rating by A.M. Best. Because of their growth, they presently offer an opportunity to join their personal lines underwriting department in Denver, CO. In this role you will be responsible to market company personal lines products and services with the agency force. Participate in agency evaluation reviews and recommend termination of agent contracts based on a review and analysis of profitability measures on an ongoing basis for assigned territory. Use judgment in accepting or rejecting risks based on a review of business in terms of loss experience, investigative reports, claims activity, file information and nature of risk. Recommend coverage alternatives and changes in deductibles, liability limits, etc to reach an agreed policy with the independent agent. Give guidance and direction to less experienced Underwriters. To be considered you will need to offer around three or more years experience with Personal lines underwriting policies, practices and procedures. Insurance industry coursework highly desired.
