They are among the top 100 property and casualty insurers in the U.S. They currently offer an opportunity to join one of their branch offices in an Underwriting Management role. In this position of Commercial Lines Underwriting Manager, you will manage and develop the commercial lines underwriting functions for the MO and KS territory to ensure growth in market share, production, and profitability in order to achieve territory business objectives within the overall branch plan. This will include providing technical guidance and direction to commercial underwriting personnel in the underwriting of commercial risks. Other duties include analyzing and staying abreast of the commercial lines marketplace in the KS and MO territory, and developing strategies to seize market opportunities including rollover books and playing a direct personal role in developing high potential agents. To be considered, you must offer around five (5) or more years of commercial underwriting experience and demonstrate successful experience supervising files and/or managing an underwriting staff.
