Our client is a stable, financially strong company. A.M. Best has consistently given them an "Excellent" or "Superior" ratings. They have an opportunity available in Eastern Iowa to be part of their Underwriting team. As a Senior Commercial Lines Underwriter you will determine acceptability of new submissions and quotations to produce profitable business for the Company. Maintain and develop satisfactory working relationships with the agency force. This will include: Evaluateing and processing new submissions and quotations. Processing policy changes and renewals, making adjustments as necessary. Communicating with agents as necessary to obtain needed information or respond to agents questions. Review claim experience on existing policies or new submissions. Order and review Loss Control surveys where appropriate, making recommendations as needed. Travel in assigned territory, making agency visits. To be considered you must have around five or more years of experience evaluating commercial risks. Base pay will depend on your actual experience.
