Our client has provided specialized insurance products and related services to their niche market for 80 years. Our client is a commercial insurance carrier with superior financial results. They currently offer an opportunity to join their Underwriting team in a management position in their regional operation located in the Sacramento, CA area. As a Regional Underwriting Manager for this company, you will be responsible to manage the underwriting of business through overseeing selection, pricing, and profitability. You will evaluate prospective new business including pricing, placement of exposures outside normal guidelines, purchase of reinsurance, and securing necessary approvals of Home Office underwriting. Responsibilities also include hiring, supervising, coaching and developing regional underwriting staff. As well as ensuring proper compliance to state insurance regulations. To be considered, you will need to offer around five or more years of in-depth commercial insurance underwriting experience and proven leadership abilities.
