They presently have available an opportunity to join their claims management team in Denver, CO. As a Auto Physical Damage Claims Director you will manage a claims unit within a geographic area. You will be responsible for technical claims operations in your specialty. You directly manage Claims Managers. Total responsibility for approximately 100 claims representatives. This includes the oversight for the review, adjusting and payment of claims within the auto physical/material damage area of business. Responsible for the management of associates including: performance management, salary planning and administration, training and development, workflow planning, hiring and placement, and disciplinary actions. Drive technical excellence, manage productivity, conduct open file reviews, reinforce corporate communications, enforce compliance issues, identify and resolve ethical dilemmas, manage general personnel issues. To be considered you must offer around eight or more years of auto physical/material damage technical claims handling experience. Three or more years of managing claims staff including managers. In-depth knowledge of claims files handling, investigation and settlement processes and procedures. Legal issues/litigation process as it relates to claims. Claims Best Practices and file review procedures. Insurance industry operations including understanding of sales and underwriting functions. Exceptional written and oral communication skills a must.
