Our client's property and casualty insurance subsidiaries, underwrite and market a wide range of property and casualty coverage for personal and business use including auto, homeowners, workers' compensation, commercial multiple peril policies as well as group property and casualty insurance. Licensed in all 50 states, they maintain a strong presence in several U.S. regions. They currently offer an opportunity to join their team in a Program Underwriting Manager position. In this position you will assist in the analysis of existing company programs and segments of business for commercial lines. This will include contributing to program recommendations including profit improvement, market enhancements, expansion feasibility, and other improvement measures. Analyze program performance metrics including underwriting quality, size and growth, loss ratio, expense, and service. Assist in the study of new program alternatives including analysis of key external market data. To be considered you will need to offer around five (5) or more years experience in Commercial Lines Underwriting and/or Product Management. Commercial coverage knowledge including construction of contracts and ability to modify coverage via extension endorsements and additional forms. Analytical skills to interact frequently with actuarial staff, demonstrated initiative to analyze and make recommendations on existing and proposed Commercial Lines products/programs. Data analysis skills including ability to discover, understand, and work with internal and external databases to evaluate industry segment profitability, trends. A Bachelors degree with CPCU and/or professional insurance designations preferred. Salary will depend on experience.
