Our client is an A Rated Commercial Lines Property and Casualty Insurance Company, home based in New England. Due to profitable growth we are seeking a highly professional Commercial Lines Underwriting Director to lead and manage all underwriting activities at the Regional office in Connecticut. Responsibilities for this position include, the day-to-day management of staff and workload in the underwriting department and supervision and development of an underwriting team. This is a very challenging position and includes taking a lead position in the execution of the company's underwriting and marketing strategies, reviewing individual risk opportunities with underwriters, conducting performance evaluations, and developing agency relationships. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of commercial underwriting experience and at least three years experience in management. CPCU would be preferred.
